The images of the Samsung S22 Ultra have been released, and here is what we know so far

Everyone is familiar with Samsung ‘S – series’ which are the flagship devices featuring high-end specifications and mind-blowing features. Apple and Samsung release their flagship devices every year, and Apple has released the iPhone 13 series, now it’s the Samsung turn to unveil their new flagship smartphones (S22 series).

Samsung S-series usually include three variants; the base, Plus, and Ultra variants. (For example, S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra). Multiple renders of the Samsung S22 Ultra have surfaced online, but Frontpagetech.com has leaked a real image of the S22 Ultra.

From the image, we can see that the S22 Ultra comes with an S-Pen, which was limited to the Samsung Note series before. The device also features a center hole-punch curved display with a Quad camera unit on the rear.

Samsung has made changes to the camera layout by removing the camera bump that was present on S21 Ultra and replacing it with the individual camera units without the bump.

There is no information regarding the specifications of the device, but there are multiple claims about it. Talking about the processor, the device might feature the latest Qualcomm’s Snapdragon flagship processor. There won’t be an Exynos variant regarding the Global variant, and all the devices will come out with the Snapdragon flagship processor.

The device might also feature the industry’s first LPDDR5X DRAM, and all the variants of the S22 series might feature them. As per the technical stats, the LPDDR5X is 1.3x faster and consumes 20% less power than LPDDR5. The Ultra variant usually features 16GB of RAM; we can expect a 14 nm-based 16GB LPDDR5X chip on the S22 Ultra.

In the new Samsung S22 series, we can expect improved performance, an upgraded camera mechanism, improved battery with multiple new features.

Upon closer look at the CAD layouts of S22 and S22 Plus, we can see that the rear panel’s design is almost similar to the S21 series. We can expect a resemblance in design in the non-Ultra variants as they feature camera bumps, but the increase in performance is inevitable.

The other noticeable thing is the S-Pen in the leaked image, and it has led to many questions as it is a unique feature limited to the Note series. There might be chances that both the S-series and the Note-Series will feature the S-Pen from now on, but the S-Pen might be limited to the Ultra variant of the S-series.

Regarding the release date of the S22 series, there might be an UnPacked Event for Galaxy S22 Series on 8th February 2022 at 10:00 am ET. As per the claims, the pre-orders might begin on 8th February and availability from 18th February 2022.

As of now, there is no official information from Samsung regarding the release dates, but we can expect the device to release in the markets by early 2022. There is no information about the device specifications either, and we will update you if there are any new updates about the device.
