Rockstar’s GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition is a nightmare, promises fixes in future updates


Rockstar is one of the prominent video game developers, and they are famous for open-world games. The Grand Theft Auto series from Rockstar is arguably one of the best open-world games ever developed, with exciting missions, interactive environments, a wide range of weapons, and vehicles to drive around the map.

Rockstar’s GTA series made many people’s childhood, and most of the 90’s kids have grown up playing the GTA series. The GTA series was implemented very well and has done great in the markets. The golden era of the GTA series was considered between 2001 and 2004, as the OG classics GTA III, GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas were released in that timeline.

This golden trilogy was very successful and has laid a path for the upcoming games under the GTA lineup. The latest game from the GTA series was the GTA V, which was released in 2013, and many gamers have been waiting for the GTA VI eagerly. Many people started making memes, and several Reddit pages were flooded with jokes about the release of GTA VI.

To everyone’s surprise, Rockstar has released the Definitive Edition of the GTA golden trilogy. For starters, the definitive edition is a re-mastered edition of a game featuring improved graphics with multiple changes in the game to make it more appealing and interactive, thereby improving the gaming experience.

The GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition made GTA lovers very happy, bringing many childhood memories back. The happiness didn’t last long enough as gamers were greeted with multiple glitches, weird animations, and physics.     

Rockstar promises fixes in the upcoming updates

Rockstar planned to give the best with the definitive edition of the GTA Trilogy, but it backfired. Many gamers have noticed multiple glitches and weird animations within a few hours of gameplay while exploring the game.

The glitches and weird animations from the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition were flooded with memes and jokes on the internet. Many YouTubers have also made videos about it and also compared the gameplay with the older versions. All the issues and complaints were brought to Rockstar’s attention.

In response, Rockstar has stated, “Firstly, we want to sincerely apologize to everyone who has encountered issues playing these games.

The Grand Theft Auto series — and the games that make up this iconic trilogy — are as special to us as we know they are to fans around the world. The updated versions of these classic games did not launch in a state that meets our own standards of quality, or the standards our fans have come to expect.

We have ongoing plans to address the technical issues and to improve each game going forward. With each planned update, the games will reach the level of quality that they deserve to be.”

Summary:

Rockstar has worked hard to bring a better version of the OG classic Trilogy series, keeping all the issues and complaints aside. Though the gameplay isn’t satisfactory, the environment, detailing, and textures were sometimes mesmerizing.

To conclude, the effort from Rockstar is real, but some classics should be left untouched. As Rockstar has promised fixes, we can expect improved gameplay in the coming updates.
